Original era manufacture. Light OD cover with olive green trim, stamped with manufacture mark J.R.Shoe and dated 1943..  Stainless steel canteen with early cap and cork, G.P.& F. Co. 1943. Stainless steel cup marked KM Co 1942. A very solid example of the WWII GI canteen.
