Original era manufacture and issue. US WWII Army Hospital Ship Nurse grouping, identified to Lt. Anna F. Keltner. 207th Hospital Ship Compliment. All items were inside her foot locker and have been since WWII. The large grouping consists of the following:Foot Locker, Leather Ankle Boots, Wool Shirt, Blue wool trousers, Nurse green jacket with Nurse insignia, ribbon bar, shoulder bar and SSIBlue wool overcoat with liner and SSIGreen Cape, Blue Cape2 Army Nurse Corps dresses with insigniaBlue belted coat with maroon piping and hatBlack jacket and skirtTan Hat, OD Hat, OD Hood and socksThe value of all items if sold separately is at a conservative amount of $2,500Anna F. Keltner passed away at age 92 in KS. She was born in 1914. She was an operating nurse and a school nurse. She assisted in clinics and made house calls. Then an Assistant Supervisor on medical and surgical wards, one year general duty in KS. She was stationed at Camp Phillips, KS for 5 1/2 months and in TX, served with the 207th Hospital Ship Compliment for 15 months. She made trips from Southern France, Italy and Northern Africa carrying battle casualties. She was charge nurse on surgical ward, supervised one nurse and three wardmen and was in charge of officer's ward at Camp Kilmer. After returning home from the Army she was employed at KU Medical Center for 31 years. She retired in 1977.Most uniform pieces are 32 inch bust, 24 inch sleeve and on dresses 42 inch lengthThe foot locker has her name and the name of the Hospital Ship stenciled on the exterior, we will provide a copy of her obituary.
