Original era manufacture. Rough finish 18 inch blade with a factory applied edge,  with clear markings and a 1944 date. Black plastic grip which is secured with four, flush ground steel rivets.Light OD canvas scabbard, clean, well marked, with a metal reinforced throat.  The scabbard is sound, normal age and wear, stenciled U.S. Boyt 42 below the belt loop.
