Original era manufacture. Rough finished 18 inch blade with a factory applied edge, with clear markings and 1944 date. The factory cutting edge is sharp, with no extra curricular sharpening.  Olive plastic grip which is secured with three flushground brass rivets, looks to be missing a rivet from the pommel. Dark OD canvas scabbard body with light OD trim, clean, well marked, with a metal reinforced throat. The scabbard is sound, normal age and wear. Maker marked and dated Midland Fabrics 1944.
