Original era manufacture. Rough finished blade with a factory applied edge, measuring 18 inches in length, with clear markings and 1945 date. The cutting edge is very sharp, with evidence on one side of a previous attempt at sharpening.  Olive plastic grip which is secured with four, flushground brass rivets.Dark OD canvas scabbard, clean, well marked, with a metal reinforced throat. The scabbard is sound, normal age and wear. Maker marked and dated BOYT 45.
