Original era manufacture. Early production set with a leather scabbard which shows a sewn and stapled edge, maker marked and dated 1942. Bright steel blade with a Collins proof, US and date 1942. Early war use and changed quickly after field experience prooved the need for matt finished blades and canvas or plastic sheaths. Light handling and wear.
