Original era manufacture. Classic WWII Army Air Corps style officers Crusher hat by Bancroft, size about a 6 3/4. The tan wool top displays staining from wear and use, with a 3 x 8 mm moth bite on the right side.The sweatband leather is tightly sewn to the body of the hat, displaying the Flighter brand on the left side. The sweatshield is crumpled and discolored from perspiration, which penetrates to the top of the hat.    There is a stenciled name on the underside of the visor, T.H.CLEMENTS, which provides a nice clue for further research.
