Original era manufacture.Dark brown wool felt hat with three pencil point moth bites. Light OD woven cap band, adjustable brown leather chinstrap, with the mounted pattern extension, securely sewn front visor with stitched edge. Large pattern officers eagle on the front. Quilted silk lining, with a darkened plastic covering with the Flight Ace, Five Star logo at center. Thin brown leather sweatband also showing the Flight Ace log, sound stitching, with a size tag which reads 6 7/8. There is some scuffing and surface dryness to the sweatband, overall the hat is very sound showing a nice aged patina. Not crushed or out of shape from improper storage.
