Original era manufacture. A one piece, double sided camouflage overall, with a Normandy Engineer attribution.Sold by the veteran's grandson, who noted that his Grandfather was supposed to turn this in to the Army, supposedly because the US troops were being mistaken for German soldiers in Camouflage. I have had a similar tale related to me personally by another Normandy vet, he was also in an Engineer unit, this was years ago, and he wore his set to paint a fence. This set is about a size 42, the internal suspenders are intact, and the color is strong and clear. Brass zipper closure, no fraying at the sleeve ends or cuffs. Minor staining on the lower legs, and a repairable 3 inch tear on the left leg pocket. The soldiers initials CR are written in ink on the inside of the neck, and his name is written on a piece of paper inside the pocket.
