Original era manufacture. Standard pattern Cattaraugus 225Q utility knife with its original leather scabbard. Even steel patina finish to the blade with evidence of an old service sharpening. Sound stacked leather grip, with red spacers at top and bottom. Perhaps the most interesting feature on this old knife is the hand decoration done to the top of the scabbard body. Just below the throat can be seen the profile of a WWII fighterplane, looks a bit like a P-39 Airacobra, and just below that the words U.S.Army. Nice box braided leg tie at the bottom using a GI shoelace.
