Original era manufacture. Steel patina axe head marked USA True Temper Flint Edge and on the reverse LC-1 indicating Signal Corps issue. OD painted wood handle looks to be a replacement at some point in the past, not recent. Dark OD belt carrier, U.S. stenciled and maker marked and dated 1944 on the reverse.
