Original period manufacture. Black rubberized fabric gasmask bag with dark OD canvas webbing. Classic assault gasmask carrier worn during the Normandy Invasion, June 6th, 1944.The bag is pliable with clear stenciling, no holes or tears. The webbing is sound, showing considerable staining from storage. All of the metal fittings are present, with no surface corrosion. The shoulder strap remains, however the body strap has been removed for postwar use.
