Original era manufacture. A nice little grouping, fresh from a local estate. The soldier served in Battery A, 42nd Coastal Artillery Battalion, and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory, American Campaign Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal.The lot contains the aforementioned medals, a nice photograph of the soldier, a Certificate of Proficiency, and a wallet-size copy of his Honorable Discharge and DD214 listing his medals.Of note, the Good Conduct medal is the first pattern with a full wrap suspension, and the serial number 57758 on its edge. It comes with its original issue box with the matching number on the end panel.  We have had very few 1st pattern Good Conduct medals over the years.
