Original era manufacture. An early production Ka-Bar pattern USMC marked utility knife made by Robeson Shuredge. The blade ricasso is with the makers name on one side and USMC on the other, it retains it's proper configuration with some light pitting from old cleaned surface corrosion, no damage to the tip and the edge is quite sharp. Stacked leather grip with the red and black fibre spaces below the guard and pommel disc. Thick pommel disc with a peened tang. No missing or cracked leather grip segments. Sound original era leather sheath of riveted and sewn construction. The pommel strap is intact showing some surface cracking and age.
