Original era manufacture. An early productionMk1USN marked utility knife made by Robeson Shuredge. The blade ricasso shows U.S.N.one side, and makers name on the other. Steel patina finish to the blade surface with some light staining and clouding from service and age. No corrosion pitting to mention. Stacked leather grip with red and black spaces at the guard. The guard itself has been bent back a bit, a common cure for loose grip spacers. Thick pommel disc with apeened round shaped blade tang. U.S.N. marked issue leather sheath maker marked and dated BOYT 43. A sound old knife showing honest wear and use.
