Original era manufacture. From the estate of a WWII US Army 6th Division officer, is this rather large ashtray. It features a heart shaped base utilizing 14 deactivated .45 pistol cartridges as supports, and on top, two more .45 cartridges, six 30-06 cartridges, five .50 caliber cartridges, and the upper shoulder of a 75 mm shell casing. Pleasing dark brass patina finish. The workmanship is of a very high quality, with a nice finish and no loose pieces. Measures 9 x 8.25 x 7 inches.
