Original era manufacture. An elegant set named in both the coat pocket and trouser waistband to Capt. C.A. Des Champs, with a date of 1-27-41, by Christenson of New York. Waist length dark blue wool jacket with red wool lapels, size about a 40 regular. The cuff rank shows two different shades of gold trim, two original bands in a darker hue, and three bands in a more vibrant shade representing his last rank as a full Colonel. Removable gold celulon shoulder knots, one on each shoulder. The DI's and miniature medals were on the coat at the time of our purchase, we do not know if they are representative of Captain Des Champ's service, or simply placed there by a previous owner. Dark blue wool vest without buttons or tailor tags, no buttons. Kersey blue wool trousers with 1 3/4 red wool trouser stripes. The waistband measures 36 inches and the inseam 31 inches. Tailor's tag as shown. No moth issues to mention in either the coat or trousers, colors are bright and vibrant.
