Original period manufacture. Rough finished steel blade which measures 18 inches in length and is US Legitimus Collins 1942 stamped on the reverse ricasso. The blade is bright, cleaned at some point, with a very sharp cutting edgecleaned corrosion, and old sharpening. Black hard rubber or plastic grips secured by three steel rivets. Hole through the grip for a wrist lanyard. Sound light OD canvas sheath of a sewn and riveted construction. Maker marked GEIB INC.1942. Scattered staining from service use.
