Original period manufacture. Lot of two original screwback DI's, Distinctive Unit Insignia, as worn by soldiers of the 15th Infantry Regiment, United States Army. Both are of NS Meyer mfg. During WWII this regiment served with the 3rd Infantry Division, North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Northwest Europe. During the war 16 soldiers of the 15th Infantry earned the Medal of Honor, among them was America's most decorated soldier of WWII, Audie Murphy.
