Original era manufacture. Bright finished 6.25 inch blade, showing scattered staining from cleaned surface corrosion. Simple steel guard with what looks to be a zinc pommel cap. Carefully wrapped around the leather grip is a cord covering, perhaps indicating use by a sailor. Stapled and sewn brown leather sheath, with an intact pommel strap.
