Original period manufacture. WWII GI fighting knife made by the Everitt company. Cast aluminum handle with the name EVERITT in raised letters on both sides of the grip, with traces of the original black paint finish remaining in the recesses next to the Everitt name. The blade is quite sound but shows an old varnish covering which should be easy to remove. Sound original period leather scabbard but not the correct pattern issued with this knife. The scabbard fits well and looks good.
