Original era manufacture. Olive green poplin shell, with an OD wool blanket lining.Talon marked zipper pull, the zipper works properly, with no missing teeth, all brown plastic buttons are present. Flaps covering the slash pockets on each side secured with a single button. The right side pocket has an original issue tag dated 1941 and size marked 36. The exterior of the jacket is clean, no holes, tears, or major staining, justnormal age and wear, no fraying to the back edge of the collar. The brown plastic adjusting buttons are present. Collector applied matched pair ofTech Sgt chevrons and 9th Division SSI, which are machine sewn to the arms, and SSI.Overall a very sound example of the 1st pattern Army Field Jacket adopted in October 1940.
