Original period manufacture. Front seamed, reflective edge, fixed bale steel helmet with original sewn, light OD canvas chinstraps with brass attaching buckles. Original paint finish inside and out, there is a very shallow dent in the crown, with light fraying and wear on the canvas straps where they loop over the bales.Westinghouse marked plastic liner in original paint, grommet in front, with original owners name and Corporal chevron painted on the front.Light OD canvas webbing throughout, with an original sweatband and non-adjustable nape strap. Intact and pliable original leather liner chinstrap with a steel adjusting buckle.A very nice example of the classic WWII GI helmet.
