US WWII Fixed Bale, M1 Helmet & Liner

Original period manufacture. Front seam, fixed-bale helmet with original sewn light OD canvas chinstraps with darkened brass fittings. Possible previous US Navy use as the interior of the helmet sports a battleship gray paint color, with matching splatters on the cloth of the chinstraps. Dark OD paint on the exterior, of a  more recent addition. The lot number is not visible. WWII high pressure liner by Seaman Paper Company. The internal webbing, sweatband, nape strap and leather chinstrap are of the correct pattern but are of recent manufacture. Sound helmet for display or Living History use.
