Original period manufacture. Fixed bale steel helmet with original sewn, light OD canvas chinstraps with black painted steel buckles. Original paint finish inside and out, and displaying very minor denting from service use.The Westinghouse plastic liner is complete with its light OD canvas suspension, original sweatband and leather chinstrap with a green finished buckle. Interior details include a non-adjustable nape strap, and the soldiers number, L-4405, appearing on the sweatband and liner skirt. The exterior of the liner displays original paint, and a nicely handpainted Sergeant T/4 insignia. A very honest, classic WWII GI helmet and liner.
