Original period manufacture. Front seamed, reflective edge, fixed bale steel helmet with light OD canvas chinstraps with darkened brass buckles. The chinstraps show some age but could be old replacements. The paint finish has been redone inside and out, with 1st Lieutenant's bar soldered to the front of the helmet. WWII Westinghouse liner with light OD webbing and a non-adjustable nape strap. The exterior of the helmet liner has also been repainted at some point in the past. Pliable brown leather liner chinstrap, with D.O.T. markings on the reverse of the rivets, and a black magnetic adjusting buckle. No sweatband.
