Original period manufacture. LateWWII production helmet with a rear seam, non-reflective edge. Schlueter production with the letter S in the underside of thefront edge, with a lot number of 213B12 above.The helmet shell exhibits honest wear and use, witha GI applied overpaint to the shell. Original sewn dark OD chinstraps which have faded toa lighter shade.Plastic liner made by Seaman Paper Company, original factory finish on the shell, with a grommet in front. Light OD webbingthroughout including the removable nape strap. The leather liner chinstrap is a replacement, being of thicker leather, with a blackened alloy adjusting buckle. A great looking old helmet which has seen its share of service.
