Original era manufacture. This is a terrific example of WWII era GI art, done on the bottom portion of a M1944 knapsack set-up, which is maker marked and dated BOYT 44 on its interior. On the smooth side of the pack is this wonderful hand painted panel depicting several GI divisional and USAAF emblems, a large 7th Cavalry unit insignia, a diving girl and a well-done image of the Milton Caniff's cartoon character "Lace" from the series Male Call. Wonderful piece of GI art.
