Original era manufacture. US steel hatchet head with a wood handle. The hatchet head sports a postwar OD paint job but done well. No nicks in the blade edge, handle is a postwar replacement but is solidly affixed. Unusual WWII dated cover with a lift-the-dot snap and riveted corners.
