Original era manufacture. US American Fork & Hoe Co. 1942 cast hatchet head with a wood handle. Tool sports a postwar OD paint job but done well. There are some light nicks in the blade edge but nothing terrible. Date stamp on the hatchet head is a bit difficult to read.Dark OD canvas belt carrier has a clear US stencil and a date of 1945, with no corrosion around the lift-the-dot closure.
