Original era manufacture. US Plumb 1942 cast hatchet head with a wood handle. Tool sports a postwar OD paint job but done well. Nonicks in the blade edge,and no cracks or chips in the handle.Khakicanvas belt carrier has a clear H&P stencil, with a manufacturing date of 1-18. The cover appears unissued but does have a few loose threads on one corner of the edge trim.
