Original era photography and publications. This massive scrapbook measures 18 x 23 inches, and contains hundreds of original black & white photographs, newspaper clippings, Yank Magazine articles, Japanese postcards and more. The original owner, an Arizona man, entered the Army in July 1943, and was discharge in December 1945. During his overseas service he served on New Guinea, the Philippine Islands and Japan. He may have been an employee of the Arizona Republic Newspapers prior to the war, as the pages are laid out in a neat, organized fashion. There are few missing photos, and one page has been trimmed to remove something, however I feel it represents well over 90 plus percent of its original content.
