Original era manufacture. This is an interesting lot recently purchased from a member of the family as they were settling the estate. The soldier served in Europe during WWII, driving a supply truck for a Medical Unit. He arrived in France in July of 1944 and served throughout the rest of the war. During his time there he kept a very legible diary which he made nearly daily notations in. Good detail regarding his service with actual accounts of his being under fire. We have photographed several of the pages but there is a considerable amount more to read. Also included are his dogtags, a realy great embroidered GI hanky, toothbrush, sewing kit, comb, assorted soap dishes, Pro-Kit, razors, Red Cross Ditty Bag, Army Map, Good Conduct Medal, Cigarette Lighter, Pocket Knives and more. Nice little lot, directly from the family.
