Original period manufacture. A nice grouping of assorted insignia, ribbons, photos and identity tags to one Richard E. Bagwell, who served with Battery F & K, 11th Marines (Artillery), on Guadalcanal during WWII. Muster rolls show him serving with Battery F in April 1942, and Battery K in October 1942.He went on to server through the remainder of WWII,staying in the Marines postwar until 1953.The lot includes 1st MarDiv SSI on cotton twill, 3rd Amphibious Force SSI, an Australian mfg 1 MAC Artillery SSI, Sgt chevron with his ribbons and tie bar pinned to it. His identity tags with service number, and anassortment of paperwork, including a receipt for enemy souvenirs dated November 1944.A photograph of Sergeant Bagwell shows him circa 1953 when he wasTreasurer ofNCO club Itami Japan.
