Original era manufacture. A large tan canvas tool satchel which is stenciled on each side LEWIS C. SMITH, 1ST LT. 0-168927. The satchel is actually German in origin, with period stenciling on the interior as shown. The satchel measures 21 inches in length, and 13 inches in depth, with an opening of 9 inches.The material is pliable, and it has two stout wood lined carrying handles. There are two leather securing straps one of which is broken.
