Original era manufacture. An interesting grouping of Ira O. Hunter, a career Navy man, who served aboard the submarine USS Lapon from 23 January 1943, until 31 August 1944. During that time, the sub and her crew completed five successful combat patrols, being credited with the sinking of 8 Japanese ships, and the damaging of several others. The grouping includes his dogtag, four original b/w photos, his US Navy ID, his Imperial Domain of the Golden Dragon (issued aboard the Lapon on 25 June 1943), three cloth sub dolphins, a post WWII submarine tie clasp, a pinback silver dolphin (NS Meyer) and a Submarine Combat badge (deep wave variety), in sterling with 3 battle stars, H.H. marked, lastly a well made silver dolphin bracelet for his Mrs. Lastly a copy of the Ancestry.com records showing the muster rolls for Iran O. Hunter aboard the Lapon, and a Wikipedia report detailing the history of the Submarine during WWII.
