Original period manufacture. This is a fairly complete example of a fighting/survival edged weapon made by the Victor Tool Co.of Reading, PA. My father carried one during his service on a US Navy Patrol Bomber in VPB 28 during WWII, and brought it home with him after the war. This example shows normal wear and use, with factory sharpening and most of the original blade finish intact. Scattered spots of surface staining on the cutting edges, with a few very small nicks in the edge. Nice stacked leather grip with no missing segments or cracking. Standard dark OD sheath, with light OD trim, showing normal age and wear, with no holes in the fabric. Two of the three original manuals issued with the LC-14-B, Care, Use and Sharpening and Fighting with the LC-14-B. The TALON marked zipper works as it should. If I remember correctly the third manual was about using the LC-14-B as a tool. Dad's example was complete when we kids got a hold of it but the little booklets didn't last long after that. We were fascinated that the Fighting manual showed how to take on a Japanese officer armed with a samurai sword. These always bring back fond memories when we get one of these in, we gave Dad's to our oldest nephew as a keepsake.
