Original period manufacture. This is a fairly complete example of a fighting/survival edged weapon made by the Victor Tool Co.of Reading, PA. My father carried one during his service on a US Navy Patrol Bomber in VPB 28 during WWII and brought it home with him after the war. This example shows light wear and use, factory sharpening and most of the original blade finish intact. Nice stacked leather grip with no missing segments or cracking. Standard dark OD sheathshowing normal age and wear but no damage, the little "pull" on the zipper is missing. Insideare two of the three original manuals issued with the LC-14-B, Care, Use and Sharpening and Fighting with the LC-14-B. If I remember correctly the third manual was about using the LC-14-B as a tool. Dad's example was complete when we kids got a hold of it but the little booklets didn't last long after that. We were fascinated that it showed how to take on a Japanese officer armed with a samurai sword. In addition a sharpening stone was provided but is missing from this example. These always bring back fond memories when we get one of these in, we gave Dad'sto our oldest Nephew as a keepsake.
