Original era manufacture. A solid example of the classic GI helmet of WWII. Fixed bale, front seamed, reflective edge helmet with original sewn light OD chinstraps with darkened brass fittings.  Period small square camouflage net placed on the exterior of the helmet with original paint finish on the interior. Light OD canvas webbing with magnetic brackets, no sweatband or nape strap. Riveted chinstrap garter mounts, no leather liner strap. Painted on the top of the helmet liner in crude lettering is "Hey Japs, Here I Am", the helmet paint appears to be original. The chinstrap webbing is weak where it connects to bale bales.
