Original era manufacture. A complete example of a WWI M1910 bayonet which was modified during the early days of WWII, by being cut-down to a 10 inch length. Maker marked SA 1914 and serial numbered on the ricasso. The tang is stamped AFH (American Fork & Hoe), for the firm that did the blade modification.   The spear point blade displays a mix of its original parkerized finish, and a steel patina finish, with evidence of service sharpening on the cutting edge. Sound black plastic grips showing honest age and wear, with a dark steel patina finish to the guard and pommel. OD plastic scabbard with original factory finish peeking out from under a GI overpaint.
