US WWII M1 Helmet Liner, Hand Painted Captain Insignia

Original era manufacture. Westinghouse mfg, high-pressure liner showing a hand brushed OD paint finish, with stenciled Captain's bars in white paint on the front. Above the stenciled Captain insignia, beneath the paint, can be seen a painted US Army Tech Sergeant chevron. Complete light OD cotton liner with a non-adjustable nape strap, and well used sweatband. Placed across the front of the visor is an original leather chinstrap with a non-magnetic adjusting buckle.   The rivets are magnetic on the liner.
