Original era manufacture. Front seam, reflective edge, swivel bale steel pot, with original sewn light OD canvas chinstraps with brass fittings. The lot number is not visible, and the paint on top of the helmet shows wear, with scattered denting from service use. High pressure liner by Mine Safety Appliance, with light OD webbing and sweatband. The canvas webbing has torn away from the right rear fitting. The exterior of the liner displays several coats of old GI paint, with remnants of a 2nd Infantry Division insignia above the front grommet. Typical GI helmet from WWII.
