Original period manufacture. Front seam, reflective edge, swivel bale steel helmet, with good quality replacement light OD canvas chinstraps with black painted alloy buckles. The helmet shell has a post production OD paint to the surface, as does the original WWII liner. The paint being newer, it makes it difficult to see the lot numbers clearly. However, while doing the inspection outside, I was able to see the letter "S" stamped into the underside of the visor. Faint due to the overpaint, but there nonetheless. Original light OD cotton liner webbing with an adjustable nape strap, maker marked in the crown of the liner with the logo of the International Molded Plastics company. The helmet liner chinstrap is dry in spots but not broken, the buckles and attaching hooks of the liner chinstrap are not magnetic and are blackened. The initials d.o.t. appear on the rivet behind the chinstrap adjusting buckle. Overall a decently restored example, the discovery of the Schlueter mark was a plus, as I missed it in my first inspection attempt.
