Original period manufacture. Front seam, reflective edge, swivel bale steel helmet, with original sewn light OD chinstraps. Postwar GI over paint to the steel shell, the lot number is not readable. Original paint finish to the Seaman Paper marked high pressure liner, light OD webbing with a non-adjustable nape strap. Pliable leather liner chinstrap, with an OD painted magnetic adjusting buckle and triangle loops. Stress cracks in the steel pot on the reverse, minor denting to the top from service use.
