Original period manufacture. Front seam, reflective edge steel helmet with a hand applied tan color stripe around the base of the helmet. Original dark OD chinstraps with steel fittings.Overall the helmet displays service wear and use, with a period repaint to the surface. Due to the overpaint the lot number is not visible under the visor.High pressure plastic liner with original OD paint finish on the exterior. Khaki webbing with a torn nape strap, and a later dark OD sweatband. The oval shaped makers mark is difficult to make out, the is another mark that of the letter S, outside the oval.
