Original era manufacture. A very clean example of a bayonet which was quite busy during the early months of America's participation in WWII. Originally produced with a 16 inch blade then cut-down to its present 10 inch length. UFH 1943 dated on the ricasso, spearpoint blade with an even steel patina finish to blade, guard and pommel. Sound black plastic grips showing surface wear to the ribbing, very light pitting to the guard and pommel surface.Original plastic scabbard showing most of the OD paint finish having been worn away.
