Original period manufacture. Uncut 16 inch blade bayonet made by PAL Company and dated 1942 or 1943. Overall dark original finish to the blade, guard and pommel, with light surface spotting. Mix of steel patina and parkerized finish on the guard and pommel; sound black plastic grips. Original green plastic scabbard with the Ordnance Bomb proof on the throat, and showing wear to the surface on the reverse. Traces of an old silver paint on the steel scabbard throat, and along the edges of the scabbard body.
