Original period manufacture. Uncut 16 inch blade bayonet made by Wilde Drop Forge & Too Companyl (WT) and dated 1943. This manufacturer of 1905-42 bayonets, produced around 60,000 of these in 1942 and 1943. Many of those were later modified by having their blades cut down to 10 inches. The blade shows a bright finish with evidence of service sharpening. The tip retains it's proper configuration. Most of the original finish remains on the guard and pommel, the lock mechanism works properly, nice set of brown plastic ribbed grips. Original finish to the fiber glass scabbard body, with the Ordnance Bomb emblem on the steel throat. Scarce WWII bayonet.
