Original era manufacture. Manufactured 16 inch blade showing a nice clean surface, with a US proof, and AFH 1943 deeply stamped into the ricasso.The cutting edge displays a period attempt at sharpening, to include the top of the blade as well, forward of the spine. Mix of steel patina and finish on the guard and pommel, with sound, black plastic grip plates.The OD finished steel scabbard is quite sound, with a steel scabbard throat with USN MK-1 markings.Clean bayonet overall.
