Original era manufacture. A complete example of a WWI M1910 bayonet which modified during the early days of WWII, by being cut-down to a 10 inch length. Maker marked RIA 1917 and serial numbered 260458. The blade displays a mix of its original parkerized finish, and a steel patina finish, with a spear point tip. Sound black plastic grips showing honest age and wear, with a bright steel patina finish to the guard and pommel. OD plastic scabbard with a postwar GI overpaint, staining to the scabbard throat with a spot of thick surface corrosion on the rolled tube holding the belt hook.
